The Charles Wesley Music Foundation and Sewickley United Methodist Church are excited to host the Slippery Rock University Chamber Singers for an afternoon of inspiring choral music that showcases the artistry and passion of one of western Pennsylvania’s premier collegiate vocal ensembles.
Chamber Singers is a select ensemble of approximately 16–20 singers who demonstrate advanced vocal technique, music literacy, and expressive artistry. With a focus on a cappella music and contemporary works, this group performs challenging repertoire spanning early music to boundary-pushing works by living composers. Chamber Singers regularly perform at campus ceremonies, embark on regional and international tours, and have recorded professional-level projects, including a holiday-themed choral album.
Louisiana native, Timothy Little Trần, is a singer/songwriter, conductor, church music minister, and educator. Currently, Dr. Little Trần is the Director of Choral Studies and Assistant Professor of Music at Slippery Rock University where he conducts choral ensembles and teaches courses within the academic music curricula.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to join us for this inspiring musical experience.
Donations will be gratefully accepted to support the music ministries of Sewickley United Methodist Church, and the ongoing work of the Charles Wesley Music Foundation, which continues to bring music and community together.
