The Charles Wesley Music Foundation and Sewickley United Methodist Church are pleased to welcome the Beaver Valley Choral Society to present its Advent Concert “Of Jesse’s Lineage”.

The Advent concert "Of Jesse's Lineage" shares the beauty of the everlasting bloom through magical choral works intimate and epic to celebrate the sacred season of Advent. The BVCS will perform works by Andre Thomas, Dan Forrest, Randall Thompson, Herbert Howells, Arvo Pärt, Kerensa Briggs, Will Todd, Heinrich von Herzogeberg in addition to the "Fantasia on Christmas Carols" by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Founded in 1923, the Beaver Valley Choral Society is a Christian faith-based, non-denominational, intergenerational choral and orchestral arts organization serving Western Pennsylvania. Now in its second century of song, BVCS brings together singers and instrumentalists from across the region through its Principal Choir, Orchestra, Treble Youth Chorale, and handbell ensemble.

Under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Dr. Douglas-Jayd Burn, the Beaver Valley Choral Society continues its long tradition of presenting sacred choral music that celebrates faith, community, and the joy of making music together.
